Where do I begin? We met Joy through a mutual friend about 3 months before our wedding. From the moment we sat down with her, my partner Rich and I felt like we were with a friend. Our conversations were organic, full of laughter, and most importantly, authentic. From the first meeting, we knew we had found our officiant.

Joy's ability to connect with people makes working with her effortless and enjoyable. Throughout working together, we felt that she had the perfect balance of professionalism and calmness that took all of the stress out of the entire process. Our guests raved about how wonderful she was during our ceremony and thought we had known her for much longer than we actually had, which I believe is a true testament to her authenticity and character.

We would HIGHLY recommend Joy to anyone looking for an officiant who will make their big day stress free, genuine and full of Joy! - Jeffrey & Richard

*From the moment we met Joy, we knew she'd be the perfect fit for us. She was so easy to talk to, answered any and all of our questions, put us at ease and was sweet and funny. Our wedding day approached, and we met with her two days before. Sitting with her and talking through the ceremony (we didn't have a rehearsal) de-stressed us both immensely and made us really excited. The day of, she was early for the event and took on the role of ensuring everything went smoothly. She was funny and rolled with the punches. And very importantly to us, our ceremony felt SO US. It was informal (that's what we wanted), but serious when it needed to be and all of our friends and family kept saying what a great officiant Joy was. Thank you so much Joy!! - Lexi & Jeff, 2018*

It all started when I felt the first rush of public speaking at age 5. Normally, at Christmas pageants,  a sheep doesn't share a soliloquy, but this sheep had the room captivated with her baas, and "Hi, Mum".

Fast forward and I still feel a rush when speaking in front of an audience, whether it be at a funeral, wedding, a house of worship, or a conference. It was that exact feeling that lead me to get my BA in Performance Theatre at Redeemer University, win public speaking awards across Ontario and perform overseas in the United Kingdom.

It was the same time that I was headhunted and encouraged to become a wedding Officiant. Through that work, I realized a yearning to embark on bringing the same professionalism and uniqueness to weddings and funerals. This is my life's mission, to bringing care, creativity and cheer to all manners of ceremonies and services.
